In the spring of 2024, I documented the protest encampment at Columbia University as the demonstrations grew into an international news story and spread across college campuses throughout the United States.

Working with photography and short-form video, I covered the encampment’s daily life, student organizing, negotiations with the university, escalating confrontations, and the eventual police operation that cleared the campus. My photographs and footage were distributed globally through Agence France-Presse and Getty Images, while my independent video coverage reached more than 15 million viewers on social media.

Beyond my field reporting, I collaborated with a team of Columbia Journalism School students to produce Occupation No More, a multimedia digital publication documenting the events and their aftermath. I contributed as an editor, photographer, videographer, and web designer, helping shape the site's editorial direction, visual storytelling, and overall user experience.

The project demonstrates my ability to report visually from a rapidly developing and highly sensitive news environment, combining documentary photography, video journalism, editorial collaboration, web design, and real-time digital storytelling.
